    • Bio Daniel A. Charlick, MD grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.  He attended Columbia University in New York City, where we was a member of the two-time NCAA Championship Fencing Team and was an All-American.  After graduating Cum Laude from Columbia with a degree in Anthropology and Premed, he went on to Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington DC where he then earned his medical degree.  From there, Dr. Charlick moved on to the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky for completion of his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery.  It was at this point that he joined the Air Force for a four-year tour and was assigned as Chief of Surgical Services at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Following his military service, Dr. Charlick chose to advance his education by completing a fellowship in Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas Texas.  While in Dallas, he enjoyed working with a variety of patients including astronauts and professional athletes.  In fact, he was one of the on-field team doctors for the Major League Soccer team FC Dallas. From Cleveland Heights to New York City to Washington DC to Lexington to Shreveport to Dallas, Dr. Charlick finally circled back to Ohio and landed in Jackson Township where he has lived since 2008. He and his family love the area and are proud to call Stark County home. Dr. Charlick enjoys skiing, golf and travel. He is married to Dayna and has three children: Noah, Zachary and Brenna. He enjoys Musical Theater and has occasionally appeared on stage in local productions. He can often be found outside skiing, golfing or training for Triathlons as part of the Canton Tri Club. Dr. Charlick is particularly interested in Foot and Ankle surgery as well as Knee surgery. He has specialized training and unique expertise in the treatment of all foot and ankle deformities, arthritic conditions requiring Total Ankle Replacement, diabetic foot conditions, and sports related foot and ankle injuries. He often gives educational lectures in the local area on these topics. Additionally, as advancements in Orthopaedics are developed, Dr. Charlick masters these techniques through Academy sponsored courses and Continuing Medical Education classes and vendor symposiums.
