Habitat for Humanity
OMNI Orthopaedics had a great time swinging their hammers for Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Everyone gathered at the two Massillon houses early Saturday morning where roofing and siding were the tasks of the day. Volunteer labor is what makes it possible for Habitat to sell their homes at an affordable price to local families in need of a simple, decent place to live. OMNI staff enjoyed their experience with Habitat and helped two families move another step closer toward home ownership!
OMNI bowls for Kids’ Sake
OMNI Orthopaedics once again participated in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake on Saturday April 9, 2011 at the Hall of Fame Lanes in Canton. The fundraiser, which has become an annual event for OMNI’s staff, is a day of fun and community service. The bowlers raised money for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization in Stark County and those funds are put to good use by helping pay for the operation of the program. OMNI’s operations manager, Richard Berube, along with Kim Ollis our Big Brothers, Big Sisters team captain, put together seven OMNI bowling teams this year. The OMNI teams were successful in raising more than $3400 for Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
Red Cross Bloodmobile
OMNI, in partnership with the American Red Cross, hosts the Bloodmobile several times throughout the year where our staff routinely donates blood. The Bloodmobile pulled in to our main facility, at 4760 Belpar Street, on March 9, 2011 where 22 donors participated. The event was responsible for the donation of 14 pints of blood. OMNI Bloodmobile drives are open to the public.
