George P. Papacostas, MD
Board-Certified Orthopaedic SurgeonGeorge P. Papacostas, MD is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and a lifetime resident of Stark County. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University Hospital in Cincinnati. Additionally, Dr. Papacostas completed a fellowship in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery from Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. His expertise includes trauma, arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacement, foot and ankle surgery and general orthopaedics. Dr. Papacostas was awarded the Freiberg First Prize Award in 2000, 2001, and 2002 and was also honored with the Gate Pharmaceutical Award and the Louis W. Rauh Award.
As advancements in Orthopaedics are developed, Dr. Papacostas masters these techniques through vendor symposiums, Academy sponsored courses and Continuing Medical Education classes. His experience and extensive training allow him to provide outstanding and compassionate care to his patients.
On a personal note, Dr. Papacostas enjoys spending time with his wife as well as participating in family activities.
